So who are these people who are uploading videos? It’s a good question. We knew we wanted to create a place that was attractive to some core personality types.

We wanted to create a place where users who liked status could achieve that (via the leaderboard).

We wanted to create a place where users who liked money and who wanted to be paid could achieve that.

But we also wanted to create a place where the great ignored of the internet could participate. The group of people who don’t want everyone to see their opinions (but are happy to share them with the brand). The group of people who aren’t egotists, who couldn’t care less about their position on a leaderboard. The group of people who are more private (less social media interaction), but equally innovative. The group of people who may reject facebook, but might have more friends and influence than others. The group of people who have ideas, but don’t want to overpublicise them. The ones who don’t want the spotlight, but know they have the skills.

We’re not sure what to call them. The highly social anti-social media elite? Clever. Sensible. Whatever their label, we love this crowd. We know you’re out there, so come and say hello.
